im fucking panicking i cant believe 4000 people have died within 6 weeks of being found “fit for work” by the uk government. we’re being killed and no one is doing anything about it. im not saying this for effect or over-exaggerating, but this is genocide against disabled people. this is 4000 people. this is not even the correct number, this is only within a 6 week period and only the ones that we know for sure. there will be thousands more.
What??? Can someone explain this? I’m really concerned and I lack context.
Basically the head of the Department and work and Pensions, Iain Duncan-Smith is committing genocide against the disabled and working class.
His department under his leadership is making people with mental, physical and other issues seek work when they can’t. He has decreed that benefit claimants are scrounges and worse than shit.
He has an ongoing program to exterminate the weak, vulnerable and disabled from Britain.
Under the Geneva Convention this is classed as genocide.
Iain Duncan-Smith is one of the British politician in support of scrapping the Human Rights act, an act he can be held accountable for his hideous act of Genocide and mass murder.
Please use his full name and the words genocide. Tag them together. Post it on as much social media as you can. This needs to become world wide knowledge and people should feel free to contact the UN, European Court of Human Rights and organisations such as Amnesty International.
We, as in the disabled of Great Britain, need this man, and in fact the entire Tory Government to be removed before they cause all of the vulnerable people of this country to die.
Now you maybe wondering how to help, start by reposting stuff like this, tag it with Iain Duncan-Smith, Genocide and War on the poor. And make it big. Make it so information about this Genocide becomes one of the most found searches on google about Britain right now.
We need this to stop now.
Y'all remember how i spent election night literally crying? This is why.
Asian-American 15-year-old Jason turns Jeb Bush’s ignorance into a positive trend
After Bush’s insensitive “anchor baby” comments, Los Angeles teen Jason Fong decided to focus not on criticizing a single candidate, but productively exposing the truth about the Asian-American experience. It snowballed from stories of immigration, to adversity, to incredible perseverance.
Looks like all of those raucous protests are paying off. After many criticized #BlackLivesMatter protesters for preventing Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders from speaking at a rally in Seattle, the Vermont Senator released a sweeping racial justice plan. Now, he’s agreed to meet with activists to talk about it.
When Michael Brown was gunned down by a police officer in Ferguson, DeRay Mckesson became one of the most notable faces of the movement for justice. Alongside Johnetta Elzie, Mckesson live-tweeted protests, broadcasted video, and offered a perspective the mainstream media couldn’t. Now, he’s got the ear of a popular presidential candidate.
While many continue to question the tactics of some protesters, it’s hard to deny their message is being heard.
In case you missed the reason why Bernie Sanders and other presidential candidates were interrupted by Black Lives Matters activists, head to this post.
The Canadian government just passed Bill C-51, an “anti-terrorism” bill.
- It give greater surveillance power to even more government agencies, and the ability for government agencies to share greater information with each other.
- It gives the police greater ability to arrest without warrants (arresting “on suspicion”).
- It allows people to be charged and jailed for the loosely-defined act of “promoting terrorism” (regardless of any actual terrorist activity), raising questions about freedom of speech.
Another bill recently passed is C-24, affecting Canadian citizenship.
- It makes becoming a citizen a longer and and more expensive process.
- It outlines conditions in which the government can revoke a person’s citizenship, mostly related to terrorism, spying, or treason (even if not convicted in Canada). This affects dual citizens and not born Canadians, and therefore essentially creates two-tier, “second-class” citizenship. Canadians who are eligible for dual citizenship (by having parents from another country) are affected by this as well.
The current Prime Minister is a climate change denier.
The Canadian Senate is a legislative body that is appointed by the prime minister. They are not elected by the public, and therefore not accountable to constituents. Members of the Senate are embroiled in scandal, from invalid expense claims to having sex with an underage girl.
Racism is alive and well in Canada.
- Canada faces the crisis of hundreds of missing Aboriginal women. Aboriginal women risk a homicide rate 4.5 times higher than the national average. The current Prime Minister went on record to say that the issue “isn’t really high on our radar”.
- On a local level, Toronto Police have not abolished the practice of “carding” (random ID checking) that disproportionately affects young black men.

#StateOfEmergency (8/18/15): In the last week and a half, at least six trans WOC have been found murdered. Of those six, five have been Black. We’re dealing with an epidemic. At least 17 trans persons have been killed so far this year, up from 12 for the entirety of 2014. What are we going to do? #staywoke #getactive
Rest In Power:
Where are the feminists boosting this message?
Where are the black activists?
Where is the rest of the lgbq+ community?
This is a cause that concerns all of us and it’s really sad how little we care honestly it starts from showing at least the slightest bit of fucking interest or concern. No single community should be getting murdered at this rate, period, let alone without anyone even batting an eyelid.
I really didn’t want to have to do this, but The Sun On Sunday’s ‘exposé’ of Dr Eva Carneiro was such a cheap and despicable slur that I really didn’t have any choice. Even if it is exactly what Mourinho wanted, the internal conflict between Chelsea’s manager and the club’s medical staff led the agenda in the build-up to the game.
Firstly, it is important to say that Carneiro and Jon Fearn did little, if anything, wrong last Saturday. Footage indicates that they were called on by the referee, and possibly by Eden Hazard too. Their responsibility is not to the game situation, but to the physical well-being of the players. Both acted to the best of their (substantial) ability and medical training.
One could forgive Mourinho for his classic attention deflection trick in the post-match fallout when feelings were running high, but his decision to throw his colleagues under the bus leaves a sour taste, as does the decision to ban Carneiro and Fearn from the bench for Sunday’s match. His insistence that they could return and his own brief admission of guilt (“I make mistakes”) on Friday at least suggests that the situation is repairable.
However, it is the reaction to the incident (in some quarters) that has been the most unpleasant. Writing for ONE World Sports, Duncan Castles said that having a woman around the players may ‘affect the dressing room dynamic’ at Chelsea, as if they are all mouth-breathers who cannot prevent themselves getting erect when within five yards of a female.
The Daily Mail’s ‘Who Is Eva Carneiro?’ feature was also poor, as if it somehow mattered whether a medical professional has ‘pre-Raphaelite curls and toned figure’ or not. ‘She is pictured tucking into an iced cupcake while another shows her love of horse-riding as she canters in what looks like a safari setting’, that article informed the reader. Well whoop-de-f**king-doo.
The straw that broke this football writer’s back was that Sun on Sunday piece, however, in which an ‘ex-lover’ of Carneiro described how she ‘loved sex’ and 'drank wine’, under the pretence that this was anything other than a thinly-veiled character assassination. Adult enjoys consensual sexual intercourse? Well why the hell didn’t someone tell me earlier? I feel stupid for defending her now.
* Initially I thought I had Carneiro’s rap sheet sorted. Her crimes were 1) Carrying out her job correctly, 2) Expressing gratitude to those who had supported her and 3) Being in a long-term relationship (apparently with a s**t who would sell his story to the press). Throw away the key, jailer. Hanging’s too good for her.
But actually, Carneiro is guilty of a far more serious football crime: Being a woman.
Ask yourself this: How much do you know about Jon Fearn? What historical era is his haircut from? How many times a week does he have a w**k? Does he love horse-riding? Exactly, you don’t know.
To be a woman in football, despite the significant strides made, is to be at a disadvantage. You are fair game, an easy target. The best you can hope for on matchday is to be judged differently to a man in your same position whilst having thousands of ignorant morons shouting at you to show them your breasts. The moment things go awry, a small but dangerous minority will look to victimise you and sensationalise your (frankly dull) past actions.
Be considered attractive and you will be labelled 'sultry’ and 'sexy’, be considered unattractive and the abuse will be far more derogatory. This has to stop.
A trained medical professional has been reduced to the status of object for the hungry masses to feast upon, and it stinks. There will be those reading this who feel it has no place in an article about Manchester City vs Chelsea, but the Chelsea manager (and the subsequent reaction) decreed that it does, not me.
For women like Eva Carneiro, the ideal scenario in football is for you to be invisible. Just imagine how belittling that feels. If that’s not a status quo worth highlighting, I don’t know what is.
”
I read somewhere that this campaign lowered local rape statistics by 11%.
Keep reblogging this. Everyone.
YES YES YES YES YES YES
Please, please reblog this far and wide. We need more posters that remind people that they are in charge of their own actions and that means they can decide not to rape.
