The shooting in Memphis is the second shooting at a black church within 24hours.

somecompany-blog:

“Several people were killed in a shooting at a historic African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina, a source close to the investigation told CNN.

The shooter is still at large.

The shooting took place Wednesday evening at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. On its website, the church describes itself as the “oldest AME church in the south.”

“It’s really bad. It’s a very bad scene,” local pastor Thomas Dixon said.

“Apparently the person just entered the church and opened fire. That part has not been fully articulated on what happened yet … they are still looking for the suspect.” [source]

What do we know about the Charleston shooting so far? Considering the amount of true crime people I follow, no one seems to be talking about it :/

im following the news as it breaks so i want to make it very clear to everyone right now that this information may not be correct and is subject to change at all times while the news is still breaking. mass shootings are very confusing and eye witness testimony is flawed as fuck, so take everything with a grain of salt until the facts solidify a bit.

Her mother, Ruthanne Dolezal says:  “It’s very sad that Rachel has not just been herself,” Ruthanne Dolezal said. “Her effectiveness in the causes of the African-American community would have been so much more viable, and she would have been more effective if she had just been honest with everybody.

Ruthanne Dolezal said the family’s ancestry is Czech, Swedish and German. She said the family does have some “faint traces” of Native American heritage as well. She provided a copy of her daughter’s Montana birth certificate listing herself and Larry Dolezal as Rachel’s parents. (X)
